MONITORING AND ACTIVE DESIGN

Environmental apsects often limit the efficient application of ground improvement and foundation methods, such as pile installation or deep soil compaction. The Active Design concept uses field monitoring in order to control and optimize the installation process and assuring minimal environmetal impact.

Active Design uses the measurement of soil displacement, ground vibrations and changes in pore water pressure during piling or soil improvement. This concept is especially applicable in connection with foundation work in urban areas. 

By measuring different geotechnical parameters, it is possible to assure at the work site that the required ground improvement effect has been achieved.
