VIBRATION ISOLATION

GRV has long experience of minimizing disturbance from man-made vibrations. We offer the following services:

• Determination of suitable isolation method from geotechnical investigations and vibration monitoring.
• Design of isolation systems (e.g. sheet piles, open trenches, concrete barriers etc).
• Reducing vibrations emitted from the source (e.g. environmentally friendly pile driving using variable frequency vibrators).
• Vibration isolation by inflatable gas cushions. Dr Massarsch is the inventor of a vibration isolation system that uses gas-inflated cushions, which are installed in the ground between the vibration source and the structure to be protected.
